Fifteen-year-old, Sadie Wampler, sold her steer, "Snoop Dogg," for $440,000 at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo livestock show. She won Grand Champion against 1,500 other competitors. After winning this prestigious honor, they headed to the sale.

Higginbotham, a Fort Worth-based insurance, bought the heavyweight European Cross. Her record beat last year's high sale of $310,000.

Sadie is originally from Canyon, Texas, and is involved in the Randall County 4-H. "It felt like time stopped. I was in complete disbelief. I was in shock, It all seems like a blur" says Sadie in an article by ABC 7 Amarillo News.

Since 1896, the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo brought the western experience to Fort Worth, Texas. It has kept up with its slogan, "This Thing Is Legendary!" by continuing to break records in its events for the youth.
