The ProRodeo Tour Finale played a bigger role than ever before when it paid out $500,000 on the final weekend of the season.

The Tour Finale moved to California Rodeo Salinas, Sept. 23-26 for the 2021 season and crowned the ProRodeo Tour champions. The half-million-dollar payout on the season's final weekend plays a pivotal role in catapulting athletes into the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo.

Shelby Boisjoli won the Rodeo Salinas Breakaway Roping Champion title and first breakaway roping ProRodeo Tour Finale on Sunday with a 3.8-second run in the Shootout round.

Boisjoli took to Instagram to say, "Onna and I got the win at @carodeosalinas tour finale, and we reached all of our goals for the summer!
I thought back to the long hours, the early mornings, the late nights, the highs and the lows, the struggles and the victory’s- So many emotions flooded me when I roped my short go calf at Salinas !
This mare will never know how much she means to me, and I’m grateful for every run I get on her.
So grateful for the opportunities, and all of the people/committee’s who stuck their neck out for us breakaway ropers to have these opportunities and make our dreams become reality!
Im excited to get home and work harder than I have before for my second NFR Breakaway !"

Congratulations, cowgirl!
