Cowgirl - Coolest Shopping Destinations in TexasCanton, TX – If you haven’t been to the Canton Trade Days, you need to call up your pals and schedule a trip. It’s the worlds largest outdoor market and it’s incredible! It is a flea market style event that is chalk full of cutting-edge home furnishings, antiques and collectibles. Tricky part is it’s only open four days before the first Monday of every month. See the market dates here.

Cowgirl - Coolest Shopping Destinations in TexasFredericksburg, TX – Whether you are shopping on Main St., hitting the trade days at Sunday Farms, or taking a wine tasting tour through their many vineyards, Fredericksburg is just an adorable place to spend a weekend. You can go with your significant other or on a girls weekend and have a fun, relaxing weekend no matter what. There are a lot of things to do packed into this quaint little town.

Cowgirl - Coolest Shopping Destinations in TexasFt. Worth, TX – If you haven’t been to Cowtown, aka Ft. Worth, then what the heck are you waiting for. It’s a blast! You have visit the historical Ft. Worth Stockyards for a little shopping then stay to enjoy the night life, live bands and cold beer at one of the many legendary bars. My fav. is the White Elephant! Save a day before you leave and hit up Sundance Square for a trendy urban area of shopping.

Cowgirl - Coolest Shopping Destinations in TexasRound Top & Warrenton, TX – If you are a junker at heart, then it would be a sin to miss Texas Antiques Week at Round Top & Warrenton, TX. It only comes around twice a year and it is a junk fair of epic proportions. Spanning over 10-12 miles and maybe even more of tents full of everything from fancy antiques, to broken pieces of furniture that long to be repurposed and a few cute boutiques in between.

While you’re there, you’ve got to stop in to see Round Top’s local celebs, the Junk Gypsy’s! I’ve been to Antiques Week several times now and I would say stop in at Round Top to see the cute shops and the few tents set up there, but save at least one whole day for Warrenton, alone. Bring a wagon for your junk treasures, wear comfy shoes and have a ball! Oh and try and make it to the Junk’O’Rama Prom. It’s so much fun!

My favorite site to keep up with who is where and when, is antiqueweekend.com

cool_saladoSalado, TX – Salado has a little something for everyone. Antiques, boutiques, art, food and beautiful scenery. I wouldn’t make a trip across Tx or the US to see this one, but if you are driving by or are anywhere near, it’s definitely a great little day trip to take. My mom and I have always frequented Salado when we were bored and antsy on the weekends and we usually came out with some really cool finds!

Cowgirl - Coolest Shopping Destinations in TexasSan Angelo, TX – This town is seriously underestimated shopping and food wise. They have an abundance of locally owned shops full of adorable clothes and jewelry. I’m blessed to live close to Angelo, but if you haven’t made a trip through, don’t miss out! Hit up Mustang Sally’s for cute western wear then go have a prickly pear margarita at the Black Sheep Bar and Grill. Two of my favorite local places, but if I had to name all my favorites, this article would NEVER end.

cool_sanmarcosSan Marcos, TX – Boutiques and trendy shops a plenty, San Marcos is a college town so you know they’ve got a few cool little places. I’ve only been once, so I don’t have any advice for a San Marcos adventure, but I enjoyed the heck out of it and bought several cute dresses!

When your done shopping, go float the river!

cool_wimberlyWimberly, TX – A major home decor and art shopping destination, Wilmberly is one of the cutest towns in TX!
