Southern Fried Skinnyfied: Delicious, Healthy Cookin’ from the TY Ranch is chock full of recipes that have become more family-oriented and are perfect for an ongoing healthy lifestyle. This isn’t a cookbook for a short-term diet. Instead, Paige cooks the way nature intended with fresh produce, whole grains, healthy fats, and meats.
The South Carolina native brought her cowboy boots and love of food, cooking, fitness, and nutrition with her to the TY Ranch in Stephenville, Texas, which she now calls home along with her husband “King of the Cowboys” Ty Murray, their newborn son Oakley, and her stepson Kase. Paige takes her favorite southern foods and adds her own special touches keeping health in mind, in what she calls “Southern Fried Skinnyfied.”
Also included are flavorful New Mexican and cowboy dishes that remind her husband Ty of his Arizona birthplace. Paige prefers stress-free recipes, the kind you find in your Granny’s church cookbooks. These recipes are simple, wholesome and scrumptious, making this your everyday cookbook. Eating healthy goes hand-in-hand with eating pleasurably, and Paige includes a couple of her favorite childhood dessert recipes for those special occasions.
