Tanya Tucker Debuts “The House That Built Me”

Tucker gets real in the newest track from 'While I'm Livin'.'

August 02, 2019

Due out August 23rd, Tanya Tucker’s latest album While I’m Livin’ is a combination of meaningful covers and well-written originals, produced by Brandi Carlile and Shooter Jennings.

The newest track out from the album is a cover of Miranda Lambert’s “The House That Built Me.” Tucker alters the lyrics from Lambert’s original to tell the story of a mother who, in search of clarity, returns to the home in which she raised her family.

Although “The House That Built Me” is just an audio track for now, two songs from the album already have music videos: “The Wheels of Laredo” and “Hard Luck.” The artist only continues to impress as more songs from the album release in anticipation of the full album in just a few weeks.

Can’t wait? Preorder the album here, or see Tucker on tour in these cities:

August 22nd at Exit/In in Nashville
August 23rd at the Grand Ole Opry
September 17 at The Bowery Ballroom (presented by SiriusXM) in New York
