Nearly three years ago Taylor Swift released “New Year’s Day” and since then nothing on the country airwaves. But now, with her release of her surprise album, Folklore, all that has changed. “Betty” is here and soon coming to country radio. 

Taylor’s new single “Betty” is releasing to country radio August 17. The track, co-written by Taylor Swift and William Bowery, brings us back to her pop country days. Queue “Back To December” and “Tim McGraw” pronto!

Her album, Folklore, was released on July 24 to everyone’s surprise. The album, announced only a day prior, is already the best selling album of 2020.

As for Blake Shelton, he can not get enough. He tweeted, “Stream Cardigan? My god I’ve been listening to the album since Friday morning!!!! Non stop!!!” He wrote a follow up explaining that his favorite track was “betty.” “By the way to those asking.. I like Betty the best off Folklore.. 3 reasons. It’s pretty country, it’s my dogs name. AND it drops the F bomb. Triple threat..” Shelton explained.
