Durango Boots announced the addition of rodeo athletes Erich Rogers, Jordon Briggs and Jacob Talley to the 2022 Team Durango roster. They join a growing roster of athletes representing Durango at rodeo events and competitions nationwide.

“We are thrilled to continue growing our Team Durango roster with the addition of three athletes who exude incredible talent, dedication to their craft and strong character,” said Erin DeLong, marketing manager. “Durango is proud to have Erich, Jordan and Jacob ride for the brand this year.”

Erich Rogers

Erich Rogers is currently the No. 2 ranked team roping header in the world. Originally from Round Rock, Arizona, and a native speaker of Navajo, Rogers is an 11-time NFR qualifier and a former world champion. Outside of the arena, Rogers enjoys spending time with his family.

“I won my first pair of Durango boots at the Lonestar Shootout and haven't taken them off yet,” said Rogers. “They look so good, I had my entire wedding party wear them.”

Jordon Briggs

Two-time NFR qualifier Jordon Briggs is a decorated barrel racer from Tolar, Texas. Briggs is the daughter of four-time WPRA World Champion and ProRodeo Hall of Fame inductee Kristie Peterson and has been training since she was eight years old.

“I’ve always waited till the last minute to put cowboy boots on and took them off as fast as I could until I got Durango boots,” said Briggs. “They are so comfortable and lightweight, I wear them all day and forget I have boots on.”

Jacob Talley

Jacob Talley is the top-ranked professional steer wrestler in the world. From Keatchie, Louisiana, Talley has been competing in the PRCA for nearly ten years, qualifying for NFR four times. In 2021, Talley won the American Rodeo presented by Durango Boots. When Talley isn’t competing, practicing or conditioning, he can be found spending time with his family.

Talley said, “For someone like myself with a wide foot, comfortable boots are hard to find. There’s always a break-in period or awkward sizes. With Durango, it’s a comfortable fit from the first time you slide them on!”

Rogers, Briggs and Talley join twelve additional Team Durango ambassadors including Luke Brown, Paul Eaves, Lisa Lockhart, Shane Hanchey, Kelsie Chace, Orin Larsen, Jeff Askey, Ty Erickson, Riley Webb, Stevi Hillman, Zeke Thurston and Garrett Yerigan. Ambassadors represent the brand at competitions, including The American Rodeo and Wrangler NFR. Ambassadors are featured in select Durango marketing initiatives including photoshoots, public appearances and social media promotions.
