The National Western Stock Show has announced that the iconic Denver Broncos’ team mascot, Thunder, will grace us with his presence as the 2018 Parade Grand Marshal!

Due to inclement weather, the parade was cancelled last year, and Thunder was unable to perform his duties, “Unfortunately, we did not have a parade last year and so we are thrilled for a second chance to celebrate Thunder, not only as the best mascot in the NFL, but also as a symbol of our western spirit and a representative of the equine community,” said Paul Andrews, President & CEO of the National Western Stock Show. “Sharon, Ernie and Ann are an invaluable part of the Stock Show family and embody the western lifestyle. We appreciate them sharing Thunder with us and with all of Denver.” – National Western.

This year is a different story, and on January 4th, Thunder will be seen leading Longhorn cattle and horses through downtown Denver. If you’re in the area, the parade will begin at noon at Union Station and continues 15 blocks down 17th St.
