Last month, COWGIRL started doing a “Top 10 Events” blog for each month of the year. The events range from dude ranch roundups and rodeos, to horse clinics and country music festivals. Here are the 10 events you can’t miss this May!

1) Pendleton Cattle Barons Weekend

5) Cloverdale Rodeo

Surrey, BC, Canada, May 18-21: Are your sights set on Canada? The Cloverdale Invitational Rodeo is set to attract 96 of the world’s most famous cowboys and cowgirls, who travel from far and wide to compete for large cash prizes.

6) Bishop Mule Days

Bishop, CA, May 22-27: If you’ve never been to Mule Days in Bishop, California, what are you waiting for? Watch exhibitors compete in a variety of disciplines, such as reining and dressage, aboard donkeys and mules. There are many special events at Mule Days for guests to enjoy as well, such as a concert and country dance.

7) Bandera Pro Rodeo

Bandera, TX, May 25-27: You can never attend too many rodeos! Attending the Bandera Pro Rodeo would be the perfect way to end the month on a high note.

8) Montana Master Grillers

Greenough, MT, May 25-28: As if you needed another excuse to visit The Resort At Paws Up, award winning chefs will gather at the luxury destination near the end of May to teach workshops and grill delicious food for attendees. There will be live music and libations for guests to enjoy!

9) Country 500

Daytona Beach, FL, May 26-28: Summer is in the air and it’s the perfect time for country music festivals! Country 500 is one of the top festivals to attend this May. The headliners this year are Toby Keith, Chris Stapleton, Dierks Bentley, and Sugarland.

10) Bayou Country SuperFest

New Orleans, LA, May 26-27: If Florida is too far of a haul, the Bayou Country SuperFest occurs on the same weekend! On May 26th, Randy Houser will be kicking off the weekend with a free concert. May 27th is a day you DON’T want to miss…George Strait will be headlining, and it’s his only scheduled appearance at a music festival for 2018.
