The Carico Lake Turquoise Mine is located South of Battle Mountain in Lander County, Nevada. The mine produces stones in multiple shades of blues and greens, but is most known for its vibrant lime green stones.
This type of turquoise has become very popular and highly collectible in recent years because of its various shades of lime green and light sky blue with a golden brown spiderweb matrix.
The color of the stone depends on its zinc and copper content.
Due to its remote location and harsh conditions in the winter, there is a limited amount of time allowed to mine this rare turquoise.
The mine has been closed and there is a limited amount of turquoise being let out into the market.
This stone is an investment, but a great addition to any collection! The color varieties will be sure to turn heads. Looking for even more turquoise to feed your addiction? Check out the classic Royston!
