Twisted X proudly launches ECO TWX, a collection of shoes that are comprised of recycled water bottles that are cleaned up from both land and ocean waste. This is the first offering of this kind for Twisted X, a brand that started in cowboy boots and moved into a growing comfort casual category.
Twisted X’s commitment to the environment extends beyond the product offering. Additionally, for every product purchased, the company will plant a tree in the United States through the organization OneTreePlanted, a 501c3 non-profit based in Shelburne, Vermont. They’ve also moved to 100% recycled packaging.
Twisted X is also encouraging its retail customers to plant trees in their local communities by supplying them with Trees from the Arbor Day Foundation. Tree planting and similar ceremonies have seen an uptick in recent years since the Earth Day Network launched campaigns that set measurable goals to target by the year 2020, which is the 50th anniversary for Earth Day. Additionally, like the Twisted X products mentioned above, more and more manufacturers are participating in “buy one, plant one” campaigns. More information can be found at onetreeplanted.org, earthday.org, and arborday.org.
The new line has an offering of women’s and men’s moccasins, clogs, sandals and boots to name a few and retail for $49.99 to $114.99.
