Cowgirl Hotlist

Is it too early to start Christmas shopping? Asking for a friend…

Clara Smith, a cowgirl artist from Oregon, has started hand-painting men’s ties – a beautiful way to combine art with fashion! And they are the perfect gift for any cowboy in your life!

She writes in her caption, “My Aunt Joelle used to paint silk ties all the time and I’ve always wanted to try it but never pulled the trigger, until now!”

Her aunt, a famous Western artist herself (Joelle Smith), not only inspired this project, but she also taught her how to draw and ride horses! Clara is continuing her aunt’s legacy by focusing her work on the Western lifestyle.

“I strive to document real Western life, depicting culture and traditions of the American Cowboy. I aim to maintain authenticity within my work by including real people, real horses, set in real places.”

The ties will be available at the Brannaman Pro Am Roping, October 28th through the 31st.
