When you typically think of wearing leather it’s often a jacket in the fall or winter. But leather pieces can be worn in the summer too! I am crushing on these pieces from Rawhide Ranch Co.
Rawhide Ranch Co. has a variety of vests, skirts, dresses and shirts in deerskin and lambskin that can transition from summer into fall. These pieces are definitely considered a splurge for most of us cowgirls but it’s something you can wear year after year. Lambskin is much softer than typical leathers and the tanning process must be done gently and this generally reflects in the price. You also need a longer tanning time for the hides.
Above, a beautiful blue poncho top in lambskin, it pairs perfectly with a concho belt.
A buckskin colored lambskin skirt and top. Neutral shades can pair with any boots or accessories.
A light weight turquoise goat suede shawl is perfect for layering on cool summer nights.
Maxi skirts are a do! Why not add a little western to you look with a wrap around deerskin skirt.
I’m a big fan of wearing vests in the summer. The slouchy deerskin vest is a very versatile piece.
