The $500,000 semi-finals round wrapped up this week at the Lazy E in Guthrie, Oklahoma, sending two women on a fast track to a potential $1 million dollar payday.

Just a couple stars of the show were barrel racer Ivy Conrado and breakaway roper Makayla Boisjoli. Conrado had the best overall time in her sport with a run of 16.176, and Boisjoli snagged the top spot in breakaway roping with her time of just 2.35. The women earned $7,000 each for their successes.

The lucky 76 cowgirls and cowboys who qualified will move on to the Title Town Stampede to be held at Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin on June 1st. Winning there could mean an even bigger check; Title Town Stampede is a $1 million dollar rodeo.

June 1st is coming up quick. We’ll just have to wait and see how our cowgirls do!
