Kenda Lenseigne dared to beat the boys to become the first female Cowboy Mounted Shooting World Champion.
There are very few timed events in the equine sports world where men and women share the stage.
Cowboy Mounted Shooting is a mixed gender sport which has clear divisions for men and women—with one exception—only one winner emerges as the overall world champion.
Kenda Lenseigne is a World Champion Mounted Shooter, and one of the very few female competitors who demands the opposite sex bring their big-boy game whenever she enters the arena.
Competitors use two westerns style, single action revolvers that shoot blank ammunition whose burning black powder embers burst the balloon targets.
The rider and horse with the fastest time and the least amount of missed targets wins.
Kenda Lenseigne remains on top of the mounted shooting world to this day and is at once threat to competitors and an inspiration.
Kenda is also a highly respected horse trainer and riding instructor with clients from all points of the United States.
