COWGIRL LIFE Western Fashionistas And Boutiques Unite For Shopping With A Purpose By Katie Armstrong | August 29, 2017 Share Left photo courtesy of Carroll Spur Company; Right photo courtesy of Hannah Leigh. Hurricane Harvey has caused destruction to the Texas coast, and the individuals living in these areas need our help. If there’s one thing that I absolutely without a doubt love about this industry, it’s the people. I grew up in arenas, barns, and ag shops as an FFA and rodeo kid. I was taught to believe “in less need for charity and more of it when needed.” It completely warms my heart to see the strong women of the western industry, as well as everyone all across our great state and nation, coming together to try and make a difference in this horrible time of need. My dear friend Hannah Hogner, of Living in Grace and Style, and her friend Torrie Koller have come up with a wonderful way to give back. If you can, Hannah, Torrie, and I would love for you to take part. Graphic Courtesy of Hannah Hogner “Hi! Hannah Hogner and Torrie Koller have decided to put together a large closet purge via Facebook to try and help with the hurricane Harvey situation. We thought we each have an accessory or piece of clothing that we could donate for a cause, and what better opportunity to make a difference. Our goal is to have each western fashionista/boutique we know donate one item, and then do a large purge on Facebook. “All the money goes to help victims of the hurricane and flooding. Would you be up for donating an item? If so, please email us a good quality picture of the item to be sold. Please advise us as to what to post as the cost, and please include a shipping cost. When we post we will include the shipping, and when the item sells we will reimburse you the shipping cost as well as give you the address of the buyer. The purge will go live on the Shopping with a Purpose Facebook page on Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm. Please email pictures to [email protected] by noon on Wednesday, August 30th.
