As all of us living the Western way of life understand Wrangler is the West’s iconic denim brand. The all-too-familiar leather brand stamp on the back pocket and unmistakable stitched “W” leave no doubt these cowboy and cowgirl jeans speak volumes of this rugged lifestyle.

More and more mainstream audiences seem to embrace our Western style, and time and again we see this style way outside the West as we know it.

Wrangler has always embraced the demand and now. more than ever, is pushing the line globally with fresh new campaigns, including its current women’s collection.

Wrangler recently announced that it has welcomed top model Georgia May Jagger to the family as the face of its Women’s Heritage Collection. Jagger, in case you have not made the connection, is the child of super model and Texas native Jerry Hall and rock and roll legend Mick Jagger. In the latest campaign, Georgia May was photographed by Cass Bird in New York City, bringing the “Turn Heads. Capture Hearts” campaign concept to life.  The tagline nods to how the Wrangler woman confidently commands attention while living by her own rules.  The creative campaign will appear in print, digital, and in-store displays in North America, Europe, Asia, and South America.

Wild West, 603 high rise straight jean, $99, wrangler.com.

“The interesting thing about Georgia is that, obviously, she’s rock and roll royalty but she’s also the daughter of supermodel Jerry Hall, who was Texas born and raised,” says Holly Wheeler, Wrangler Vice President, Global Brand Marketing.  “When we were talking to her about the campaign, she told us that when she’s in Texas she goes to Boot Barn to buy Wrangler jeans like her mom used to.  She definitely is this very modern fashion darling supermodel, but she’s really grounded in the Western lifestyle and what it means to wear Wrangler.”

Every jean in the Heritage Collection was designed after the legendary look that won the West—the 0936 Wrangler Cowboy Cut slim fit men’s jean—with its figure-flattering top block that hugs from the waist to the hips.  The five styles include the global best-selling Wild West, a straight leg; the North American best-selling Wanderer, a flare; Westward, an exaggerated bootcut; Wriggler, a skinny; and Worldwide, an exaggerated wide leg.

COWGIRL is always happy to see our favorite icons, whether it’s fashion, products, or people, take a foothold outside our norm.  We’re happy to share these beautiful and vibrant images of Georgia May Jagger, photographed by Cass Bird, in these pages.
